Abuse colors the way we see ourselves and the world and it is up to us feed ourselves new messages, to create new beliefs that enrich our lives. We are also healing wounds that are deep and so we must find ways to nurture ourselves, be patient and use whatever we can to heal. Each of you will have different ways of healing and reconditioning. I am offering to you some of what has helped me and others I know. A combination of paths is best. Each of the websites listed here were carefully reviewed by me. Most of them offer free products such as audio downloads, newsletters, articles as well as sell products that will help you along your journey. I have used most of what I have posted at some point in my life, some of which I continue to practice. Each method has its benefits and can offer relief and healing. Open yourself up to something new and try it for a few weeks before determining whether it works or not. All of the paths listed offer the following in some form or another:
Prayer/spiritual guidance Becoming part of a spiritual community can be life altering for many. Prayer can be very powerful when you believe. The Basis for the DNMSChildren grow and develop in stages. Each developmental stage involves a set of needs which should be met by parents or caretakers. The degree to which childhood needs were not adequately met at a given developmental stage correlates to the degree to which a person may be stuck in that stage. When stuck in childhood there is a risk of something retriggering a child part of self. For example, a person may feel like an adult one minute – then something upsetting happens and suddenly they are seeing the world through the eyes of a sad, angry, or fearful child. This can account for behaviors, beliefs, or emotions that we have now, that we do not like and do not want.
